Our co-founders have over 45 years combined experience with “Big Four” accounting firms, industry, and/or state revenue departments. Additionally, Labhart Miles maintains many relationships in other functional areas of accounting and tax and in virtually all industries. Our experience in general state tax consulting (including sales tax and income/franchise tax), California Enterprise Zone projects, nexus reviews, taxability studies, and other multistate tax services, allows us to provide quality service in many areas of state tax.Customized Service
We provide a full range of services, designed for our clients. At Labhart Miles, you won’t find a “one-size-fits-all” approach to client service. While we have proven processes, they are customized to clients’ unique needs. We will work with your staff but we will not overburden them - we are aware of the time constraints placed upon in-house staffs and design our workplans ahead of the project. We welcome the opportunity to work in tandem with our clients’ operations personnel and internal and external accounting and legal staffs.Independence
Because we do not perform attest services for our clients, Labhart Miles is able to operate clearly within the guidelines for independence detailed in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and required by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Although firms who provide attest and non-attest services may, in fact, operate those services independently, it is both the “actual” and the “appearance” of independence standards with which public companies must concern themselves.Tested Processes and Documentation

We leave behind the “roadmap” and documentation of our process that might be necessary for audits and future compliance.
